Owl Lovey Free Crochet Pattern

Materials:
* Size G 4.0 mm Hook

* Size G 4.5mm Hook 
* Safety Eyes

* Tapestry Needle
* Your choice of Worsted #4 weight yarn
* Stuffing

Abbreviations:
Ch = Chain
ST= Stitch
Sl St = Slip Stitch
SC= Single Crochet
Inc = Increase (2 sc in 1 stitch)
Sc2tog = Single Crochet 2 together
HDC = Half Double Crochet

*HDC Scallop – 5 HDC in I stitch, skip 2 sts, Sl st in next, skip 2 sts, make 5 HDC in next st, repeat*

Blanket:
This is a corner-to-corner pattern
Chain 6
Row 1: DC in the 4th ch from hook and in the next 2 ch; turn - (1 block)
Row 2: Ch 6, dc in 4th ch from hook and in the next 2 ch - sl st into the ch 3 space of previous row, ch 3 and 3 dc all in the

ch 3 space of previous row; turn - (2 blocks made)
Row 3. Ch 6, dc in 4th ch from hook and in the next 2 ch. - sl st into ch 3 space of previous row, ch 3, and 3 dc all in the ch
3 space of previous row, 2 times to give you 3 blocks.

Continue this pattern - adding 1 block per row for Row 4 to Row 18. (I did 18 rows and then started decreasing on row 19.)

Border:
Hdc around 3 side of the blanket, ch 1, turn
Do the HDC Scallop around 3 side
Tie off & weave in ends
Leave a tail to attach to owl
