“Boo” Adult size Crocheted Headband

Note: All my patterns are written on a pad of paper when I make them, so if you find a mistake, please be let me know
so, I can fix it. Thanks so much

Size: Teen/ Adult

Materials:
* Size H Hook 5.0mm
* Size G Hook 4.5mm
* Size E 3.5 mm Hook
* Button of choice (I believe I used 3/4")
* Tapestry Needle
* Your choice of Worsted weight #4 yarn, I used a combo of Red Heart with Love & Red Heart Super Saver
     Purple, Black, White, Beige & Gray
* Small amount of stuffing
* 1 Black or Gray Pipe cleaner

Abbreviations:
Ch = Chain
ST= Stitch
Sl St = Slip Stitch
SC= Single Crochet
Sc2tog = Single Crochet 2 together
HDC = Half Double Crochet

Headband: You can easily change the size by adding or decreasing the amount of stitches
Starting with H Hook & Purple
Chain 66
Row 1: Hdc in 2
nd chain from hook and in the remaining chains, ch 1, turn
Rows 2-7: Hdc in each stitch across, ch 1, turn
Change to G hook – You are now going to work on the short side of the headband

Row 1: Sc across, Ch 1, turn (you should have 9 stitches)
Row 2: Sc2tog, Sc to last 2, Sc2tog, ch 1, turn (7 sts)
Row 3: Sc2tog, Sc to last 2, Sc2tog, ch 1, turn (5 sts)
Row 4: Sc2tog, Sc to last 2, Sc2tog, ch 1, turn (3 sts)
Row 5: Sc across. Tie off and weave in ends

Now working on opposite short side
Row 1: Sc across, ch 1, turn (9)
Row 2: Sc across, ch 1, turn (9)
Row 3: Sc2tog, Sc to last 2, Sc2tog, ch 1, turn (7 sts)
Row 4: Sc2tog, chain 3, Skip 3, Sc2tog, ch 1, turn (5)
Row 5: Sc across, ch 1, turn (5)
Row 6: Sc2tog, Sc to last 2, Sc2tog, ch 1, turn (3 sts)

Curly Cues: Using E Hook & Beige - Make 4 or however many you would like : )
Chain 26
2 sc in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain to the end
Tie off and leave tail to attach to headband

Eyes: Using G Hook – Make 2
Starting with Black
Make 6 Sc in Magic circle, sl st, ch 1 (6)
Round 2: Make 2 Sc in each st, sl st, ch 1 (12)
Change to white
Round 3: *Make sc in 1st st, make 2 sc in next st*, repeat, sl st, ch 1 (15)
Round 4-6: Sc in each st, sl st, ch 1 (15)

Change to Gray
Round 7: Sc in each st, sl st, ch 1 (15)
Round 8: Sc in 1st st, *sc2tog, sc in next st*, repeat, sl st, ch 1 (12)
Round 9: Sc2tog 6 times, sl st, ch 1 (6) This is where I usually stuff my eye
Round 10-13: Sc in each st, sl st, ch 1 (6)
Tie off and leave tail to attach to hat


I take the pipe cleaner. I cut in half. I take 1 half and bend that in half and insert into gray tube part of eye. I then attach it
to the hat

Hair:
I cut several strands of various lengths (depends on how long you want them) and attach them to the hat
Add a button & All done
